Yarn Chandelier

Lately I have been feeling pretty lousy. Fantastic way to start a blog post I know ;). It’s so true though…I just haven’t felt 100% and poor darling Clint has been the recipient of a more grouchy version of me. I resolve to do better! Mostly I have mourned over the fact that I haven’t been able to fully enjoy the positive mood swings our weather is having these days. Every other day is gloriously warm and sunny mixed with cool and rainy days. The rainy days are not really the gloomy type, mostly like the lovely foggy type that make the majestic Utah mountains really come to life outside my window. It’s the kind or rainy days you would see on Twilight, minus the horrid acting and unwarranted obsession over the world’s most dull teenagers. So a good rain day basically. I wish I felt better because I would be skipping through the sun and rain instead of sauntering through it, but either way I’m getting through it.

I have, however, been slightly more productive on the crafting front (and I say “front” like it’s a battler front…like “news from the crafting front…” because we take crafts seriously). Last week I made this absolutely lovely Yarn Chandelier for HGTV Design Happens using yarn left over from other projects. I’m giddy over the color combination I chose for the final chandelier. These photos were taken in the kitchen of my good fried Beth for the blog post, but now this chandelier is sitting on my craft desk giving me dirty looks. I really want to hang it up ASAP (I mean get off my back would you?) but I haven’t quite found the perfect place for it yet. I’ll give you an update as soon as she finds her final resting place, as I am sure you are just dying to know.

And that’s pretty much all the news from around here. Except that Liam’s new favorite food it “bra-nana” (bananas), he requests “Nacho!” (Nacho Libre) at least 10 times a day, and he (kind of) can scoot around on his scooter now!

  1. Cool idea! It would probably also look cool if you used the yarn to hang itself–like instead of the white for all of the yarn, using the yarn. If that makes any sense. But then you’d have to secure the yarn so it didn’t just unravel.

Anyways. It’s cool just how you did it though! 🙂

  2. I know what you need. You need a Twilight kinda vacation up here, where this time of year every day is a Twilight sorta day 🙂 No bad actors though, just us crazy Pages! In the meantime, I love those hanging balls. A positive statement their. And I love your blog 😀
